drill problem

How do you fix a keyless drill chuck thats jammed? It will only open halfway so I get get any bigger bits in it.

Mine had an issue like that. Make sure the screw holding the chuck on hasn't loosened up on ya.

screws not loose. can't unscrew it either to remove the chuck. any suggestions to fixing it?

It may be shot. I finally wound up replacing one. Tried everything, tapping the jaws with a hammer, took it completely off, soaked in solvent, etc, etc. Finally chucked it in the vice and tightened it down til something snapped...lol, still jacked up.

Went and bought a new one for about $20 IIRC
