Craftsman compressor not reaching pressure

I have a small 3 gallon 125 psi craftsman compressor (oil) it's it less than two years old and has always worked fine, now all of a sudden it won't get more than 15 psi. I have checked for leaks, drained it, etc. but just don't see the problem, Any ideas?
Thanks

Most likely a head problem. Blown gasket or broken valve. Have a peek inside and tell us what you see.

I'd guessed a bad pressure regulator - fairly easy to test..
But I believe that Markiz is correct...
Lets hope that Sears still sells replacement parts..

agree with Mark. bad poppet valve or reed valve on the output side. parts should be reasonably inexpensive. pay close attention to the parts as you remove them as the reed valve order is important for function and the poppet valve springs are usually different for the intake and exaust.

I took it apart the head and valve look ok, didn't see any glaring gasket problem, but got the gasket kit, figured I may as well replace them while its apart just in case. Are the gaskets stuck on just from the heat or do they need a little peratex?
