Air Compressor Recommendation
I am once again in need of a replacement air compressor. The tool that the compressor oprates uses approx 2.7 scfm when operating. Have been using a Craftsman oil free compressor rated at 5.1 scfm @ 90 psi. Works well and is relatively quiet. Needs to be replaced every 2 years.
Would like to step up to a larger compressor, but need to have something relatively quiet. Compressors that I saw at the box stores, only two had dB ratings - don't know what the dB rating for the Craftsman unit was as a comparison.
Is there a simple method to get this information? Does anybody have a recomendation for a 10ish SCFM @90 psi quiet compressor for less than $900??

Welcome to the forums!
It might be difficult to find a quiet air compressor. I prefer a belt driven oil filled type compressor. IMO the best way to deal with the noise is to install the compressor in a different room

If you can handle the size and a 240 volt hook up.
You can slow it down a little for quieter operation.
