I have looked all over for steel snow shovels and they are really hard to find. All I see locally are plastic shovels. These things seem really cheap and flimsy. Do they hold up? I see online there are a few aluminum shovels, but I worry about bending under rough use. I see you can both the poly and aluminum with a steel guard at the edge, but what keeps the poly from breaking up at the connection to the shaft or the aluminum from bending just above the guard? I live in KY, so we get ice storms from time to time, and our snow tends to be wet and slushy. I am worried that only a steel shovel will hold up. I know I can get an ice scraper to break up the ice, but I'd rather not. However, when you're the only fish swimming upstream, usually you should stop and ask why... Any advice?

My 2 battery packs for my dewalt cordless drill have died. Looking at the cost of new packs, it almost seems it's better to just get a new drill. I have looked into rebuilding them with new cells. Doesn't look hard at all. My qustion tho is I have a 12v pack and inside are 9 unmarked cells. All the replacement batteries are 1.2v each. I do not believe a 10th will fit in the housing. Are these 1.5v cells in the Dewalt packs or are they just under voltaged. I looked for 1.5v sub c batteries and couldn't find any.
