Klein Tools Elctricians scissors/snips...
Anybody know what I'm speaking of here? They are GREAT for cutting off up to AWG 12 stranded wire. I use them ALL the time!
Anyway....both edges are finely serrated, which leads me to wonder can they be sharpened like regular scissors...?? RG-6 coax cable seems to take it's toll on the snips...
Anyone?
Thanks!

Why don't you use the tools made for the job? Cable cutters do a much better job and don't dull down like scissors. The scissors, which I find absolutely no use for, are for cutting non-metal sheathing, rope strain relief chasers and the like. End cutters do the same job and you have one less tool to clutter up your pouch.

Sharpening serrated edges is different than non-serrated but it can be done
That said, I'm with Chandler in using the right tool for the job

I have had 2 pair of the short 5 inch Klein scissors. One pair which were called splicers scissors and had two small grooves cut in the tips of one blade for stripping telephone wire. Came with holster and splicers knife. Used them both for years to cut wire, steel banding, plastic banding and my guess if you used them solely for copper would never dull. I still have both pairs and both still cut good. Sharpen them as I would any scissors or knife. The are pretty heavy duty for such be so small. The are great tools for many different kinds of projects.
