New Table Saw

OK, guys, get your cup of envy ready! Step son moved to another city. Used to do trim work, but is in another line of work, now. Asked if I would be able to store some of his tools in my barn. Sure. What I didn't know was the table saw was a Delta Unisaw with 7' table, 3 HP motor, Biesemyer fence set up, JessEm Powermatic router insert...........Sure I'll store it for you..........in my shop!! He'll never use it again, and if he does, he will need to bring 4 big bubbas to move that thing!! I will store my 1970's Craftsman in the barn! I ain't gonna bring up the Dust collection system and the Makita slider
Over all a happy day.

Saw

Congratulations, Larry, and remember to count your fingers each night when you leave the shop.

I am gonna have to spend some time with it this weekend so it won't get lonely. Speaking of fingers......The safest push stick I have used has been the Vermont American black triangular shaped one with a handle. Keeps your hand out of the way. Well, HD quit selling them. They sell all the other dumb stuff, but a safety item, they ditch, so go figure. Anyway, I found out VA must not be making them, but Bosch has picked up on the same design, so they must have sold it. Anyway, not in production yet. I will get an email from Amazon when they start, and I'll update. You should look into it.
C'mon up TG, you need the rest from all the snowbirds, anyway!!

Ya, me too

Fortunately my thumb healed well although it is difficult to pick up small items with that hand.

I thought about trying to talk Larry out of one of those saws but I have one and no real place to set another one

Nice! Now you just need a can of T-9 Boeshield to spruce it up!

Nice one Chandler! I had a nice 3HP saw I got from a "friend" of mine who's dad gave it to him to store because he was moving out of state. My "friend" was never going to use it so he let me have it. Two years later my "friend's" dad moves back and wants his tools back. IT was a good two years. *sigh*

Scott, I am so hopeful it doesn't happen, at least for a few years, anyway. Maybe he'll forget about it
Brant, yeah, I need something. I had to take steel wool to the running board of the fence, where it rides. Little rust from sitting, unused. May try the T9. Can you get it locally or is it a specialty item?

I find it at a woodworking shop in Omaha. Available online of course. Kinda pricy, but should last a long time. The aerosol cans come in 2 sizes.

Squeeze drip bottle 4 oz for $8.99, not too bad, and that's Amazon. Do you prefer the aerosol cans, or is the drip method ok?

Never used the liquid... I guess I like aerosol spraying and wiping, but maybe thats wasteful?
