Cutting steel with a junior hacksaw
I am hoping to cut square steel tubing with a junior hacksaw. It seems to be a relatively hard steel (and chrome-plated) - although I'm not sure precisely what sort. The blades I have currently seem to be incapable of cutting through (perhaps they were designed only for wood or plastic).
What kind of blade is most appropriate for this?
According to the Wikipedia article, HSS or bi-metal blades are not available for junior hacksaws. So I guess I will have to use a plain carbon steel blade? That's not necessarily a problem; I can live with blades wearing out quickly - as long as they do the job. (the blades I have currently don't make a dent in the steel even when they're fresh!)
On the other hand, I don't mind investing in a full-size hacksaw. Obviously I would just like to make use of what I have already before exploring that option.

Thanks. I think I will go with a full-sized hacksaw as you suggested. I might invest in an angle grinder if I thought I would be doing this sort of thing more often - but I can't say I will.
We have a circular saw but the steel-cutting blades seem kind of expensive.
Cheers
