Impact Wrench leak

I have a Porter Cable PT501 Impact Wrench - It's leaking air from the bottom of the handle when connected to the air compressor. I believe it is a bad o-ring on the torque selector but I do not know how to remove the selector itself to get into it to find and replace the faulty seal. Any instructions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

That's one advantage to buying name brand products - support.

That control is called the air volume regulator. It does have at least one o-ring involved with it. You'll find many o-rings in that gun. In the exploded view...... it looks like that control is held in with a roll pin.

Although in the link below you'll see each part labeled separately..... you may have to purchase some type of rebuild kit to get the part you need.

When you go to that site...... click on "download schematic PDF."
