Craftsman Drill/Driver Model Number Circus

In 2006 I bought a Craftsman 19.2-Volt Cordless Combo Kit with RA Drill, model 911458 (for $99.99!) The "C3" logo was nowhere on anything. It came with the 1/2" 19.2 V Cordless Drill/Driver 315.114852 and the RIGHT ANGLE DRILL / DRIVER 3/8" 19.2V model 315.101540

Whats the difference between C3 and not C3? Now I see my drill driver that looks exactly the same, both with and without "C3" on it. MY batteries were shot. As a gift I got the C3 19.2 volt Ni-Cd 2 battery with charger, model 91137. Before I could use them, my drills sprouted legs and walked. Cant afford another kit, going to buy the drills separately, used. I see Craftsman C3 1/2 Inch 19.2V DRILL /DRIVER MODEL 315.119100 which looks like a completely different drill.

19.2v is 19.2v whether its a Ni-Cd, NiMh or lithium ion?
Will the batteries I got work with all of these model number drills?
Is the 119100 a better tool?
Can I lay down now?

I havent even started looking for the R/A drill replacement yet.

I have a craftsman 19.2 drill and while I can't say for sure, it's my understanding that the nicad and lithium battery packs are interchangeable but the chargers aren't. The charger is specific to the type of battery.

Some Li chargers will do both (Ryobi dual chemistry, the green one for example), but it will state that right in the manual.

Its not the chargers Im concerned about too much, but the C3 designation and whether the model 315.119100 a better tool than the 315.114852, it looks like a completely different tool.
