craftsman radial arm saw control panel

Hello all, this will be my first post. Thought I found a great buy on a craftsman 113.198211 radial arm saw. Built a new table everything seemed great but then....bought a new battery for the electronic control panel in front and.... Nothing not a smidge of anything in the display. Took it out and took it apart saw nothing visibly wrong but it's an electronic circuit board so I don't know how to test it. So I'd by a new one if I could find one. Any suggestions would be greatly valued.

Welcome to the forums.

While I was routing around for info I found mention of a recall. It won't directly help your current problem but it might be something that can improve the safety of the saw.
Craftsman Radial Arm Saw Recall

That uses a 6v J battery. Are you sure the battery is good ? I've purchased many dead/weak J batteries. Since that saw was only in limited production around 1986 I couldn't find any replacement boards for that unit.
