Experience with diamond vs carbide Sonicrafter?
I have an original Rockwell Sonicrafter and am using a diamond blade for grout, which I would rate as ok. This blade costs $50 retail and I can't find it on the internet. There is a 3 pc carbide tile set from Multi Fit for $20. Has anyone used both for a comparison?

I don't have the sonicrafter, but have another brand. I use the diamond blades for cutting or notching glass tile. But for removing grout I use a carbide blade and it works fine. It will always be a bit of a slow go either way.

The only blades I splurge on are the original Fein blades that cut wood, metal and plastic. $15.00.

I'll double check that price. I have had it for several yrs and am very careful with it. We have a hardware store in Boulder that just doesn't exist many places any longer. If they don't have it, it doesn't exist. However, they don't compete on price.
