Exclamation Bosch Brute jackhammer

I just purchased a really clean used Bosch Brute jackhammer. I gave it a try breaking up my basement floor (what I bought it for) and the results are disappointing. It's slow to break through.

My thinking is that lubing the shaft of the bits might help a little as will sharpening the bits.

Any thoughts? Is it just not that powerful a machine or will lubing and sharpening have a big effect?

Thanks guys.

It's possible that it might need service, but it's also possible that you expect too much. Making a hole in fresh concrete takes time. Once you have a hole it will chip off pieces but if you are making a hole it's slow going until you get a good sized hole going.

Yeah, working better now. It was a combination of working from an edge and a sharp bit which doesn't bounce around like when it was dull.
