ANOTHER Mystery Tool!!

Hello fellow members yet again. I came across this holder of some sort also. Who would use this and what is it called? Many many thanks for any answer that clears this little mystery up also.

My guess is it is for jar cap tightening/loosening.

This tool is fairly large and rather heavy. The rounded inner jaw sections arenot serrated at all and have the ability to clamp different shaped or rounded objects together. I was wondering if it was for brazing or soldering or welding of some sort.....

It's a spring compression tool, probably valve spring, possibly for something older, just a guess by the shape of the wing nut, but may just as well work on newer stuff too.

It's clamp of some sort. Somehow I think it might be used in the leather tanning business.
