Hello
There are thing you can do to keep tools from rusting but do you know why or what is making them rust...is the tool box sweating? water getting in? some tools you can spray with WD40 or light oil..others you may want to use a wax polish. you can add the dry packs that take in the mositure...but all will fail if you do not find the problem.....Good Luck

I agree.

Keeping them clean and dry will prevent any rust. Use a good storage box as well. I store mine in a couple of rollaways, and I have good metal toolboxes for the cars and such. Plastic ones work as well. Anything that seals out the moisture and keeps 'em all in one spot. Lol.

I have heard that you should line the trays with carpet scraps. Spray WD40 in the trays every 6 mo. - 1 yr. and that should do the trick.

I lined my rollaway toolboxes with some nice heavy matting I got at my local hardware store for 9.99 a yard. I cut it and it's great. Looks neat and will take a beating for years to come.

Then again, I never put away my tools dirty or rusty
