I recently installed a 15p in my house. I have 4 exterior doors wired to a zone each. When I power it up the key pad(6150), it flashes Ad then 31, and it also displays no ac and not ready. Did I miss something in the wiring or is it a programming issue? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi there- We just had Brinks install their system in our house. We had a DSC system, but Brinks came in and put in their own keypads and we turned on monitoring. We have 4 doors that have contacts on them, but that's it. We have 4 basement windows that we would like monitored, but are wondering our options. There is a motion detector down in the basement, but it's turned off because we have a dog and cat. Brinks said they could not turn it on because of this. My question is this: Can I buy a third party pet immune motion detector and install that in place of the one we have? Will Brinks monitor that as well as long as it's hooked up as a zone in the system? I called Brinks and asked them if they would install a 3rd party motion detector, and they said no. However, if I had someone else install it and hook it up to the system as another zone, would it be monitored by Brinks then? The other option would be to get break glass sensors and/or contacts on the windows, but that is $$$. Since the motion detector is already installed, I imagine switching it out for a newer pet immune one would be fairly simple...but I'm not sure. We're new to the security world, so sorry if I'm asking answered questions. Thanks!
