6 pin cables with modular connectors for security camera system

I have a friend who owns a business that has a security camera system. He wants to move the monitor from one office to another, and asked if I could do it as a side job. I - being the sidejob ***** that I am - said I could do it.

Each camera (5 total) is connected to the monitor with cables that have 6 pin modular connectors (like phone connectors). I have to extend them 50 feet. All I can find is the 8 pin cat5 and cat6 connectors and cables used for networking computers.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about, and most importantly, a source for these kinds of cables?

Any help is certainly welcome.

Try Home Depot. Their telco area stocks 4, 6 and 8 pin rj ends and jacks.

Yeah, I know the ones you're talking about - usually they are only 4 conductor, just like phone cables, but to add sound, you need 6 conductors.

Try Cables To Go.com or some other cable providers online. Most of them have custom cable configurators that you can use to make your own cable - might even save you some money

Good luck!
