Vista 20P Adding Keypads

Vista 20P Adding Keypads
I have an Ademco Vista20P with 3 keypads and want to add another 6160 keypad. When I do, the only ID that will work is 16.
When I power-up the keypad and assign any other ID, say 20, the display stays lit with no lettering showing and no commands will work. When I press 1 3 and enter an ID of 16, then * * ,
it works fine.
Does anyone have advice on how I can get it to accept another ID (I already have a keypad on the system with ID 16)?
I'm not sure whether I have to code to the 20P panel that an additional keypad address is active.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the help, that was the right advice.
Now, however, I have screwed it up in a different way.
After putting in the installer code then 8 0 0 ,
making some program changes (changes that I found out later I need to correct) and then *98 to exit,
I found that 2 of the 4 keypads could not arm the system, but could only turn on/off chime mode.
So, I tried to go back in programming mode, but every time I enter the installer code and 8 0 0 , I get a long beep which indicates that a partition is armed (according to a manual).
Now, ALL the keypads show "Disarmed Ready to Arm" ,
so I am VERY confused.
Can anyone help ?

You exited programming wrong, *98 feature (from the manual):
Do not use *98 to exit programming, do not enable any of the lock-out features in *88 - these are for alarm companies that do not want customers or other alarm companies tampering with their systems - there is no reason for a homeowner to use these features.
Good luck!
Command to Exit Program Mode (with installer code lockout)
Exits Programming Mode and prevents re-entry by:
Installer Code + [8] + [0] + [0]. To enter the programming
mode if *98 was used to exit, you must first power the system
down. Then power up again, and press[*] and [#] at the same
time, within 50 seconds of powering up.
See field *88 for other Program mode lockout options.

Brandon,
Your point is well taken (only wish I knew that last night...LOL)
On the train on the way into work this morning, I was re-reading the Vista 20P installation manual that told me I now need to power down the system to be able to re-enter programming mode via the installer code.
I just hope that in powering it down, I don't lose all my settings.
(BTW, I have checked out the SafeWatch page and it is very cool. I need to look into what is offered through there more.)

Nope, not a problem - the Vista panels use EEPROM (non-volatile) memory - basically this means the system will hold the memory even with no power.
We don't have a lot of the Ademco equipment online yet (that's a lot more work than I thought it would be), but it is available - if you can't find something, just ask.
