Ademco keypad 6983 shows dC as status and ready to arm
What does dC stand for (first I thought runiing on DC but AC indicator is on) ?

It means download complete (or upload). It means that the panel has been remote accessed using downloader software. It normally disappears from the screen when the system is armed or disarmed.
