I have an unmonitored lynxr machine and would like to programmed it to call a cell phone if someone is busting into my house since in my state they are making harsh laws for false alarms anyways. Any link to this document would be great or any help would be appreciated thanks.

 

Can't be done with the Lynx - however, there is another option on cell phones with text messaging. Go to www.numericpage.com and sign-up for their service ($20/year.) With their service, you can send a page to your cell phone using text messaging. Essentially the way this works is like the old SkyPage pagers (where you call an 800 number and put in the PIN for the pager you want to call.) Then the page is sent to your cell phone.

It's pretty cool and very affordable. Then you can use the paging features in the Lynx to call your cell phone - it would be much better than calling your cell phone directly.
