Low battery on DSC Wireless motion detector
#1

Am I able to replace the battery myself - if so how, as I can't even seem to manage to remove the detector from it's mounting bracket on the wall. It's not that I'm totally inept, but it appears to be some sort of tamper proof mounting.
Thanks for the help...

They do come off, but they are a PITA - and, if you aren't careful, you could snap the tamper switch off the back of it (which means it will show tamper even when you put it back on the wall.)
I haven't messed with one in a looong time (due to the fact that DSC wireless equipment sucks anyway), but I think you push up on the sensor to remove it. Just push straight up very carefully and firmly, it should come off.
Good luck!

Hi, and thanks for the response. I'm not sure what either PITA is, or the effect of "showing tamper", but I did try as you suggested and it worked. Not having the owners manuel for these devices, do I need to reset anything?
The trouble condition no longer appears on the main keypad.
