Dsc 433

Hi, I searched google and your forums but had no luck. So here it goes...

I have a DSC 433 (a wirless transceiver). I hook it up to the alarm system (a Partner P-48) which uses a DSC board. I then enroll the wireless devices using the ESN, then proceed to zone programming.

With all that done I can not get the wireless devices to communicate with the panel. The keypad does not register a tripped zone and the alarm does not sound.

The devices I am using is a DSC WLS914 motion detector and 3 WLS925L contancts.

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for all input

Are your transmitters 433mhz devices (their model number will end in 433)?

If not, they are not compatible with this receiver.

Yes, all of them are. And they where all working at one point on one of my buildings but after a Reset, I cant seem to program them correctly or I am just missing something.

This is what I do...

I enter installer programming *8 installers code.

Then I enter section 804.

then I enroll my motion detector by pressing 02 (for zone 2) then 36CC03 (36*33*03)

then I enter zone programming section 001
0105030303030303

and I enter the wireless zone as 05 (interior motion)

Am i missing anything?

THanks for your FAST response!

Which DSC panel is your partner system based on? From the numbers you've been quoting, I'd say a 5010 (Pwr 832). It makes a difference.

hmmm....

Good Question!

On the board itself it says DSC on it then it has UA027, under that, it says Rev.04. Partner has placed a sticker on top of all of those numbers that says P-48-50/50 UL

On the manuals it says Version 2.3

This alarm uses all DSC equipment. If i remember correctly the DSC 832 has 8 hardwire zones correct? This alarm only has 4 hardwired zones.

Hope that helps...let me know where i can find this information.

Thanks Again for your help and quick response!

Ok, let's try this: it sounds like you have the programming manual. Does programming section list sections between 165 and 201?

Ok,

Looking at the original programming worksheets I see this exactly.

[160] Maximum Dialing attempts
[161] Post Dial Wait for handshake
[164] PGM Output Timer
[202] Zone Assignments 01-08
[203]
[204]
and so on...

Hope that helps.

Ok, well assum that the programming for a 1555 will work for this thing. Sorry about the 20 questions routine, but rebranded systems can be a bit of a headache.

I think that you need to go into section 101-132 and enable the zone types as wireless zones. Also make sure that the zones are enabled in section 202

No problem, I totaly understand. Owning a web hosting company, I tend to answer a lot of tech support questions so I know what its like...LOL

As far as the problem.

I made sure all zones are working. I also enabled zones 1-8 (sections 101-108) as wireless. Those are the only zones i use. and I would really like to go all wireless and not hardwire anything if i can get this thing to work.

With that done, it still does not want to work...do you have any other ideas?

The panel is a pc580 pretty much all the same addresses as a 1555 just less zones I havent read the whole post but have you done a 902 module reset yet you may have to reprogram 804 with esn numbers and turn on number 8 in 101 - 108 Do a 903 and see if a number 17 is showing. This panel definately had some conflict problems between the 433 receiver and panel on the earlier versions. I do not know the version revisions affected but they may work fine for years and then problems start arising. Thanks DSC! Good news is if you can find an authorized installer or distributer they should replace it for free. They are so inexpensive you may just think about upgrading though

well this has 32 zones, it just has 4 hardwired zones. and I only use zones 1-8

Also, when you say upgrade you are talking about the panel right? If so, this is an unmonitored alarm, so I doubt an installer will come and do it for free unless i sign up service. Would you know where i can purchase the upgraded panel online?

ok a 902 is a module supervision reset....
and 903 is a module supervision field...

and a 996 is to reset the receiver to defaults...

I have done all three...

902, when enter just beeps several times fast then returns to programming...
903, displays a 1 on my LED keypad.
and a 996, beeps several times then goes to programming.
