ADT safewatch pro 3000en

Hi guys,

I just moved in an appartement with a safewatch pro 3000en, i was able to enter in programing (i think) and when i tried to reset to factory default
(*97) the keypad displays "00" then "ad" then "17".

What's happening?
Does one of you know where i could find the installation and setup guide (K5305V3 or higher)

Thanks

You won't likely find the safewatch manual, but the one for Honeywell/Ademco Vista 20P will do the trick.

I hate to say it, but you probably shouldn't have keyed in that defaulting command. Now you will have to reset all of the zones and options from scratch. Not knowing how your zones were configured, I can only hope that the installer left his worksheets in the system.

What you _needed_ to do was simply read back the installer code by keying #20, and used that to program a new master code.

I'm not sure about that display sequence. Normally 00 is a reference to a wireless keypad. The toubleshoot list doesn't show "ad" (could it be dd?). It almost sounds like you have it in walk test.

Try entering 1234 + 1(off). If you defaulted the system, that's the default master code. But you do have a lot of programming ahead of you.

Thanks for the reply,
the keypad is not wireless, i tried 1234 + 1 : nothing.
In the sequence it's "Ad", no matter what i try the sequence won't stop, even the panic buttons don't work.
The marking on the processor is "Honeywell WA3001-2.5".
For the programming, the installer left the addresses in the door of the panel ex:010-8672= 17-front door.
The only manual i have the programming guide and installation notes (35 pages).
Is there another way to reset the unit?, hardware i mean.

Thanks

Try powering the system down (disconnect battery, then AC power). Restore AC power and within 50 seconds press * + # a the same time. Normally this will bring the system up in program mode. If this doesn't work, it is possible that the system was shut down using downloader software.

One other idea: try powering down as described above, but have a friend hold down *+# at the same time you power up. This may get you into programming.

I have a further answer for you. Another post sent me to the instructions for the 6150RF keypad (which does have a wireless reciever), which is the keypad I believe to be the one on your system. Upon power up, or exit from program this keypad displays "Ad"; the keypad address; and the wireless reciever address.

The first or only keypad for your panel should be set at address 16. I suspect you cleared the keypad address in your attempt at default.

Power down. Within 30 seconds of power up press 1 + 3. There should be 3 beeps and the display should show two dashes and two zeros flashing. If anything else shows, press *. Otherwise, press 1, you should see cA: enter 16*. It should beep twice, and display rA. Enter 00*. Wait a minute, and it should return to run mode. Press any key to display system status. At that point the keypad should work for you to be able to access the panel (not keypad) programming.

mr.ron,
you're the man, it worked. the only thing is after i did what you told me (1+3 then 3 beeps ect.) the keypad started beeping (beep-beep-beep) without stopping, i had to unplug the unit and then there was the famous d1.
so now i just have to re-program the system.

Thank you very much for your help, you know your thing! 3
