New to Security Systems- Looking for Loudest alarm inside/outside- what to buy..?

Husband wants to tackle this project himself, we are just starting to look into Security systems and need advice.. We are looking for a System he can do himself, want the LOUDEST alarms available inside & out (what decibles/watts to look for?). He wants to tackle a Hardwire system, 2 doors, many windows, a few motion detectors, and something that can dial out to a few phone numbers & our cell phone when not at home, did not want to have the system monitored for a monthy fee. If you have any information, advice, what to look for , what to stay away from, a system with LOUD alarms that is easy to install & reliable, please post (Husband has basic electrical knowledge). Thank you

The loudness is a factor of the hardware you strap onto the system. Look at this company, for examples. Sounders come in a very wide range of db output.

For the kind of things you are looking for, probably something like the ITI Corcord express or ultra, or the ELK M-1 might have what you want in terms of system features.

Loud alarm

All alarm systems when activated will push voltage to a siren, siren/speeker. It sounds like he would like to have multiple sirens. If you have an attic, I suggest placing two 30 watt 8 ohm sirens, one at each end of the house at the vents. If you do not have an attic, place them in the crawl space in the foundation vents at opposite ends of the house. Point one at the neighbors house. You should still have one inside the house, that also will be a 15 watt, 8 ohm siren. Most likely, the alarm panel will not push them. There is a fix for that. The output of the siren should be wired into a relay to act as a trigger to activate the switch in the relay. The sirens should be wired to a 12 volt DC power supply with one of the legs wired thru the relay. Lets go to the alarm system that you want. You said that you wanted it to call a cell phone and some other numbers. Most alarm panels are programmed to report in a digital format. Unless your cell phone has a pager feature on it, they will not work. There are phone modules that can be added to any system that will work for what you need. I suggest the Ademco Vista series for the system. That will allow you some expansion by enabeling zone doubling. If you choose the ademco panel, please get the 6160 keypad. That will make programming a lot easier. Good luck
