Shock Sensor for Napco Alarm System

My house has a Magnum 1000E alarm system. three windows of my living room have small dark brown boxes by the windows frames. each box has a red led. I opened one of these boxes and it says "Viper 2, Intruder detector, Anti-tamper). they all have four wires connecting to them.

What sensor replacement can I use?

I am looking for small form factor just like this little brown boxes.

Please help.

Hmmm, I think that these may be early model acoustic glass break units. The newer versions only take a single detector to cover a 20 foot or so square of windows.

Am I correct in that they are _near_ the windows, and not on the glass or frame?

These are actually attached to the window frames.

Any idea on replacements?

This type of glassbreak is obsolete. Short of an lucky auction site hit, your best bet is to replace them with modern acoustic glassbreaks. GE/ITI makes several versions that are some of the industry standards.

Depending on how your house was wired, it may be easier to simply run new wire to the new devices.

Your other option is to replace the existing powered devices with the piezo shock sensors that mount to the glass, and simply disconnect the power from the wiring harness.
