Alarm suppliers??

I'm sure this has been discussed before...but I am new to the forums. Are there many reputable suppliers for DSC alarm products that will sell to the do-it-youselfer?

There are several. Many of them are web storefronts for Alarm/low voltage equipment dealer/installers in their local areas. Go with the same criteria that you would for any online purchase.

I am not fond of equipment purchased throught online auctions, they are often obsolete hardware, crippled, or missing critical documentations and/or parts.

Question about Safewatch 3000EN (Vista 20p) with 5804

I have an Ademco 5881ENH RF receiver connected to my safewatch 3000EN. It works fine with all my wireless sensors. I am trying to add an ademco 5804 4-button to arm and disarm the system. During zone programming, the system seems to recognize the buttons fine (The system picked up the serial number when I pressed the button twice, and again when I transmitted to confirm). But after I exit the programming mode, The system doesn't respond when I press any of the buttons (press and hold for few seconds). Please let me know what I did/didn't do right? Thanks, hdp.

I am installing a new DSC PC1555 system. I know that it is an option to use the EOL resistors. But what is the difference? Also in one room I have a motion detector and a glass sensor. I can wire the sensors in series for one zone but do I need an EOL Resistor?
