Solar Powered Security Light

I'm toying with the idea of putting an outside light up but I really dont want the hassle of running mains outside. I have found some 'solar powered' security lights with PIR sensors. Has anyone used these? It looks like the solar panel charges up a lead acid battery, but I just wonder if it can provide enough juice. The panel looks like it is about A5 sized and the bulb is a 10Watt Halogen

Those solars have become pretty main stream. Those same battery sizes are used to run emergency lights for commercial buildings, and a 10W halogen lamp puts out a surprising amount of light. Since it's motion sensor, and the light is only on as needed, it may well turn the trick for you.

lights

I only need a small light to be able to see a gate to unlock and then park my bike. I reckon it should be enough? The area is miles away from the mains and I dont really fancy running long cables!
