Question Concord Express Programing

We got a Concord Express alarm system, was never install, box were open. All devices are wireless, but the Touchpad that is hadrwire and the siren, the system works fine except that we can`t get into the programing menu as the manual said:
1- system is disarmed,
2- Press 8+CODE(4321 Installer dealer code)+0+0> Touchpad shows SYSTEM PROGRAMMING ....

but nothing happends from here touchpad only shows ENTER CODE never says SYSTEM PROGRAMMING and then after a few seconds goes back to the DATE/TIME ... we are programing from the SuperBus 2000 2x16 LCD Alphanumeric Touchpad (60-746).

We did user programing, Time/Date, User Codes etc with the system master code, 1234 with no problems.

Does anybody have any suggestions what we doing wrong?, could it be a bad bus?

Thanks for your help.

If you are entering 8+4321+0+0, and it's not going into program mode, then it's possible that someone either swapped the board for one that had the installer code changed, or the system was used for something like a demo.

The bad news is that there is no "back door" short of a lucky guess, there is no hardware default or way into program mode other than a lucky guess.

On a concord express there is a backdoor to clear the panel to factory defaults.

Look at the center of the circuit board you'll see to little solder dots that say clear mem. With the power off short across those two contacts, now power the system on let it run for 15 seconds with the short across there. Remove your jumper wire, now turn it off and back on. The system should now be set to factory settings, this is only on the express not the actual concord.

Thanks for the reminder. I was thinking of the standard concord board.
