MOOSE Z1100R Master Programing Code
My home has a Moose Z1100R system that is about 17 years old. It is monitored. Recently, while attempting to restore the arm / disarm codes, I inadvertently reset the Master Programming Code. As I was not trying to reset the Master Programming Code, I was not paying attention to the series of numbers I pressed on the keypad. When I attempted to open the Master Programming Code -- nothing happened. Now the system arms & disarms just by pressing the number "1" As 1 is the arm / disarm command digit I can't get past it to see if the other codes are there; nor can I get to the "new" Master Programming Code in order to reset the codes.
Is it possible to reset ONLY the Master Programming Code to the manufacturer's default number, without having to reneter all data?
Two alarm servicers came to the house today; they called the GE Logistix tech-help line and were told that technical support is no longer provided. They told me that they could install a replacement Bosch system for about $425.
I called a company listed in the yellow pages. The proprietor told me the system was obsolete, could fail at any moment, he wouldn't touch it. He did offer to replace the system and 3 keypads for about $1200.
Another alarm shop owner who told me that he could "zero out everything" which would then require that all zones be re-entered, as well as the monitoring station phone number, the account number, and likely other things as well. The fee would be $45 + $85/hr and could probably be done in an hour.
So, please feel free to offer answers / opinions. Should I spend the $125 for an hour service call, hoping that the service won't take more than an hour & continue to use the old system? Or should I spend approximately $300 more and go with a new system? Or. . . .?
[TIA] Thanx-in-advance for any suggestions.

Either
A: You can pay the only alarm company to wipe it clean and reprogram which should not take more than an hour.
B: Program it yourself, there are a few of us on here who are more than comptent with the Moose line of panels that could help you along the way.
C: Use the existing wiring, buy a new panel a little more DIY friendly, and you'd have a new system.
And please don't put a bosch in your home, the system you have now is far superior to that system.
Edit: Btw when you say you reset the master programming code, there may be another way in that does not require you to reset everything. First I need to know what type of moose it is, z1100R is the keypad. Open the actual control panel box, and tell me what it says in the control board metal cover. Z1100 System 2, Z1100E..etc
