DSC PTC1640 / power 832

Hello,

Just purchase the DSC 832 and not sure how to hook up the power supply. The circuit board has 2 terminals for power but the power adapter has 3.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

If the transformer has a ground prong, one of the terminals is a ground pass through (the center one, normally). You don't have to connect anything to it. It's there to accomodate things like low-voltage side surge supressors, and there are a few add-on devices that don't work correctly unless the panel is connected to a proper earth ground.

It's 16vAC, so there's no polarity on the other two to worry about.
