No Installer code for DSC 832 / PC5015
I have the DSC 832 / PC5015 alarm system, the alarm has been activated and now requires a remote reset code. I do not have an Installer code or a Master code only a code to activate/deactivate. I do not have a monitor contract with the installers as the alarm came with the house.
Other than calling out an engineer, is there any way of obtaining these codes to reset the system.
I have noticed the mention of EProm resets. Is this possible in this case to reset the codes and what does it entail

Going by the model number, I'm guessing that you are likely in the UK.
Look at the following thread:

A previous series of posts by someone with your identical hardware tells us that it's very likely that the installer lockout feature on this equipment is probably set.
Normally, if there is only one user code in the system, then that one _is_ the master code. It this code allows you to use functions like setting the clock, then it's your master code.
If you triggered that box tamper that's apparantly a common setup in your local, then that can only be reset by entering program mode, which takes the installer code.

Thank you I did read the link, if I type *8 it asks for an installer code but I do not know the code, it will take digits but without knowing the correct code or a default one it obviously will not work. The error asks for a remote alarm reset and gives a code number.
I thank you for your previous reply, and like the other "poster" I am in the UK, and from the sounds of it contacted the same company as they did.

This is one of those instances where you are kinda stuck. This is a panel design that if the various programming blocks are activated, even the manufacturer can't unlock them.
Short of a lucky guess at the code, your only choice is to get them to unlock it (good luck, from the sounds of it...) or to replace the motherboard and start over.
