2.0k eol resistor

Plan on hooking up used FA1200c system. It calls for 2.0k eol resistors. Will 2.2k 1/4 watt resistors from radio shack work? If not where can i find the 2.0k resistor? Can anyone help me out!

You can google
2K ohm resistor 1/4 watt

or 2K resistor

Here are some examples

( 15 cents each)

The 2.2k resistors will frustrate you. They will _almost_ work. They may work for a few hours to weeks, then abruptly cease being acceptible in a given loop. You can also simply run a pair of 1K resistors in series (they are pretty easy to get).

I was about to say the same thing about the failing line.

Most resistors are slightly under their advertised rate (2k usually measures out about 1.97 or so, ect.), I THINK to accomidate the actual ohms in the line. 200 ohms in a line would almost certainly set it off in any normal circumstance, and so one could deduce that the same affect would transfer to the resistor itself.

Thanks for the info! Will try to locate some 2k:s. Will the 1/2 watt work the same as 1/4 watt? Thanks again for the info, would have hated to have to replace all the 2.2k after having them fail!!!

The wattage rating makes no practical difference in this application. This is fractional amperage on the loop supervision.
