safewatch pro 3000 texting to a cell phone

I have a ADT safewatch pro 3000 and I am trying to get it to text my cell phone using the paging mode(no monitoring service)
This is what Im doing and let me know what is wrong.
*41*(no monitoring #)
*42 (7-digit back door # to my voicemail)calls voicemail without ringing my phone
*43(10 digit cell #)my account #
*47 is set to 1
*49 is set to 6
*50 is set to 0
then I need a "1" entered to start text message mode.
The problem I seem to be having is the pauses and what field to have the "1" entered.
I can enter pauses in *42 (#+13) but in field *43 it will only let me type in my 10 digit phone number to get to my voicemail and no other numbers.
also does anyone have what each field means and what values should be in them?
Thanks,
Jim

You are trying to do this in the wrong place. You want to try to do this in the pager programming area. (locations 160, 161, & 162).

The locations you are trying to use are made specifically for alarm receiver connections, and won't let you do what you are trying to do.

You cannot really pull off a text message, but you can get it to send info like a digital pager.

That would be location 162. That's where you select the events to be reported to the pager. The system uses a standard pager format.

Can this system page more than one pager?
If so what are those fields?
Thank You,

It will send up to 4 different pager outputs. Pagers 2-4 are locations 163 through 171.

The manual you want for programming this system is Honeywell/Ademco Vista 20p. It's a pretty common system, so a lot of manual vendors have it available.

Go to program: [installer code] + 8 + 00
From there you go to the programming locations by entering the * + location number.

If you are going to work with programming, you need the installer manual.

If you websearch for Vista 20p installer manual this should be the second or third hit:
http://www.alarmeengros.com/installation15P.pdf

(the 15p and 20p use a common manual)
