Need help changing the code on ADMCO 4110DL
I recently moved into a house that has an ademco 4110DL/4110XM alarm system installed in it. I cannot contact the person who used to live here and the realtor knew nothing about the alarm system, codes or anything. No manuals for the system were in the house when I moved in. The alarm system appears to function fine, it chimes when a door or window is opened but that is it. The keypad/display works fine and shows that the system is "ready". How can I get into the system and change the code so I can use it as a local (siren only without dialer) alarm?

In the FAQ there is the process for "bootstrapping" Ademco alarm panels into program mode. Once in program mode, key in #20. This will make the keypad read back the current master code, one digit at a time.
Once you have that: If you want to change it, while still in program mode key in *20 + [new master code].
Exit programming with *99
If you want to change the code without going into program mode:
MASTER CODE + [CODE KEY (8)] + [1] + NEW MASTER CODE + NEW MASTER CODE AGAIN.
The panel will hold up to 7 secondary codes. You can get a user manual from http://www.security.honeywell.com/hsce/
