Need help with Safewatch 3000en
I currently have an ADT Safewatch 3000en system. I unplugged it and disconnected the battery last Jan. because I was not given the access code when I bought the home in Nov. last year. I would like to reactivate the system without ADT monitoring it. I have the programming guide, but it really doesn't make much sense to me (probably because I have never operated an alarm system before). I would appreciate any help I can get with this.

You will probably have to fork out the money to ADT to get the programming code. This company LOVES to prevent homeowners from using their own system.

It's nothing difficult. The SW 3000 is a slightly modified version of the Honeywell/Ademco Vista-20p (you will see a lot of posts for these models, as they are quite common).
Try 6321 + 8 + 00. If it goes into program mode, just key in *99 and exit.
If you have the install manual, if you look in the section on "system operation", it has the keystroke sequence for using the installer code to program a new master code.

In normal run mode use the following keystrokes:
[installer code] + 8 + 02 + [new master code]
Just don't hesitate too long between keystrokes or it will kick out of code programming. Test the new code by turning on and off the chime.
If you get the installer manual for a Vista-20p, the systems are 99% identical.
