Suggestions for wireless system

I need a wireless system for a house with 4 entry doors, 2 motion detectors, keyfob activation, and I'd like to set-up monitoring.

Any suggestions - I am getting confused between all the brands DSC/Ademco/GE/Powermax. Are there any to avoid, or any that are significantly better. Can someone rank them?

I like the look of the GE NX458 recessed door transmitter - is this only for GE systems or can it be used with others?

Thanks

I would say Ademco and DSC are the most popular.

I have an Ademco, and it has given no problems.

Both brands have good expandability.

Wireless devices are specific to the brand family. GE/ITI/Networx are 99% compatable with each other. Honeywell/Ademco works with it's clones like First Alert and SecurityLink (among others...), and DSC is unique to DSC.

I have never been fond of the DSC wireless. If you are going that route, I would go with either Ademco or GE.

Thanks, that helps me narrow down my search a lot.
