Ive had this house since 2001 and I've never applied for an activation. The sirens went off and the system was armed I tryed pressing # and all the lights went off for about 2 mins and comes back on. I don't know the Master code. My installer is ADT. I would like to unarm the system because the alarm wont go off please help me

The system armed itself?
I wound't doubt that ADT called into your system and armed it so you have to fork out the money to get the codes.
Though, that probably didn't happen.
Was this disconnected from power, and then you connected it, and now it's doing this?

He probably pressed one of the panic buttons.
If *8 5555 put it into program mode, there's a good chance that the master code is still set to 1234. Try keying that in. If not, virtually the only other thing that will work is using the hardware default procedure (it's a fair bet that the installer lockout wasn't set on this system, since it was never setup as a monitored system).
