Shopping list for adding wireless to vista 20

Hi,

I want to add two wireless door sensors to my existing vista 20 panel. Currently, my entire system is hard wired, but I want to add wireless to my detatched garage's two entry doors & maybe a motion.

My panel doesn't have anymore zones...but I believe the Vista 20 can expand?

My question is: what equipment do I need to complete this job. I want to create a "shopping list."

PS I have a programmable alphapad already installed

Thank you,
Mas

You need a 5881 receiver. There are three models with varying capacity depending on the capabilities of your system (Vista-20 (se?) (P?), the different models have different limits). Then you need a transmitter for each opening you want to protect (5816 is currently the standard, but there are several others for specialty applications).

Go to www.security.honeywell.com/hsce and look at the available devices.

Also, what type of zone expander will I need?

Thank you,

I've only have eight zones...but I do not have anymore screw terminals & I have just one sensor in each zone. My system can handle up to 48 (I believe)...but it has not been expanded. I'm I missing something here?

For a vista 20P; Model L adds 8 wireless slots, M adds 16, and H adds 40. If you want to upgrade to things like keyfob remotes, each of those takes up 4 zone slots.

So, the RF receiver has the zone screw terminals built-in....so I do not need any additional zone expanders??? Right?

The 5881 is wired into the system via the keypad bus, so the wireless devices that enter the system via the 5881 do no require a separate expansion board.
