Ademco - 250P1 Alarm System

I have a Ademco - 250P1 Alarm System.

I work about 3 minutes from my house and wanted to try something.

I want to program the system to call my cell phone if it goes off. I have neighbors that are always home I can call and being only mins away I wanted to save the money on the monthly service fees.

Has anyone tried this? Will it work?

How would one do this???

Thanks,
fgarvin

This is a pretty heavy duty commercial grade system. As with nearly all alarm systems, the thing was designed before cell phones were common. The best you can do is use the pager reporting programming to call the phone. You won't really get useful information unless your phone emulates a pager, but it will call. This thing has about 8 pager number slots.

You need the installer manual for this system. This is a _very_ complex system. _I_ need to constantly reference the manual to keep track of where I am in programming one of these puppies.

The Ademco 250P1 is a Protection One version of the Vista 10SE. Also, 300P1 is a Vista 15 and 320P1 is a vista 20. Any manual for a vista 10SE will help you, or you can get your manual at www.protectionone.com

Ahhhhh! I hadn't come across that one before (Protection One has no N. FL presence). I will add it to my notes.
