Question Safewatch Pro 3000 - error msg "bF"

I'm trying to figure out what this means -- the manual just says "call for service" (I have ADT service). They want a lot of money to come out, but I don't want to pay it if this is no big deal or if I can reset something myself. Any insights?

It means that either you have trouble on the cellular backup dialer for your system, or that your system is programmed to look for a cell dialer that you don't have.

Assuming you have cell back up...Disconnect the phone line at the RJ31X, then test your alarm by entering <user code> + 5+1. If it sends a signal and ADT receives it you will se CD on screen for "contacted". Reattach phone and enter <user code> +1 <user code> +1 to clear message.

Thanks...

I'll give that a try and hopefully it will take care of it.
