Liftmaster Keypad With Overhead Door

My daughter just bought a home that has Overhead Door garage door openers. Someone added a Liftmaster Wireless Keypad on the outside doorframe and we want to change the codes. I downloaded instructions for each brand but they assume you are using the same brand keypad and opener. Old owner left no manuals. Can anyone help PLEASE?
Thanks, Mike

I have an out door keypad from chamberlain. These should be similar, but on most you open the cover on the inside unit and throw a switch from "run" to "set" and then you enter the code on the keypad and return switch to run. Try to find a model number and I will helpyou more if I can.

kcxj,
This would allow anyone to walk up to the control pad and change the code.

***Misread post, ignore this. Sorry kcxj****

Yes, I'm afraid I didn't give enough info in my first post. When the house was built, 3-4 years ago, Overhead Door Legacy Model 696CD/B was put in. Then later, someone added a Liftmaster Model 377LM wireless keypad outside. It communicates with a small 3X3 inch box plugged in right above the motor unit which has a red and white wire that are hooked to the back of the Overhead motor unit. I have the original Liftmaster code and it works fine. The handheld remotes and the inside wall panel from Overhead work fine. We just want a new code for the Liftmaster keypad because everyone and his brother knows the code. kcxj, when you say "open the cover on the inside unit and throw a switch from run to set", are you referring to the small black receiver box from Liftmaster or the Overhead motor unit? To me it was a dumb idea to mix the 2 brands.
Hope this helps
Mike

Looks like you enter the current pin and press the # sign until opener light blinks twice. Then ente new pin and press enter. Light will blink twice when new code is entered. If you don't know the code, then you may need to replace the unit. Mine is alot easier, seeing that is is hardwired.
