DSC-1550 - Need 1620 or 1640?
Hello,
My DSC1550 had the trouble light on and now recently has started beeping. After reading some threads here and the user manual online, I believe the transformer is dead.
In reading the install guide, it say it uses 16Vac with 40VA but when I removed the transformer installed, it is a 16Vac with 20VA (Revere RT1620)
So, my question is, should I replace with the one that was installed (20)or use the one noted in the manual (40)?

The 40va is a better buy. That 20 sounds like it was an post installation repair. If you don't have a lot of keypads and other powered devices like motions or glassbreaks, the 20 was adequate, but 40 gives you some power reserves.
