I work for a gentleman that has a V-50 system at his place that the previous owners had installed back in 99'. The system has sat off for quite a while now and he wants to get it operational again. The batteries in the sensors have all been replaced but the display keeps showing the zone # and fault. The doors and windows in that zone are all shut and locked. I haven't the foggiest what to do next. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Most all wireless will not clear until a successful transmission has been received by the wireless receiver. If the display showed "check" instead of "fault" then it may be the tamper.
I would go through reprogramming the transmitter with that is showing fault to be sure it is actually working.

May be a tripped tamper from replacing the batteries. Try entering the code + 1 twice.

Thanks, worked perfectly! but now it's showing that I have low batteries in 2 of my transmitters, but I just changed them out. ??? Anyone?

Sometimes even new batteries can be duds. Quality control of batteries being made overseas can be very poor. I would try another set of batteries to see if that will work.

First determine if it is a fault or a check condition. You need to enter the 4 digit code and off twice. Then do not press the star * key. If you do so it will say fault and not check. Let the system sit and if it is a check it will beep rapidly and scroll through the zones in check. Once you find the culprit make sure that the cover is on correctly of the device. If you cannot find the device then take it out of programming. This should be your last resort. The wireless devices send a check in signa every 30 to 60 minutes on these panels, and it could be a device that is no longer on site.
