I want to make changes to my DSC Motion Detectors

I have a DSC PC580 alarm. I had a break in recently, in a room where I only had a set of contacts on the door, and of course they broke in through the window. I don't use the door, it is barricaded and can't be opened. Can I use the wire from the door to connect a motion detector without any more work than connecting the motion detector? Does anything at the panel have to change? Also I need to move another detector to the far end of the room. Will just extending the wires do the trick, or do I have to run a new uninterrupted wire?

Unless you got lucky and the ran 4 conductor wire for this door contact, then your only option is to run new 4-conductor wiring for a motion. A motion requires two wires for power as well as the two for alarm zone.
