Smile Replacing a ITI 60-806 Keypad with a G.E./ITI 60-746-01 SuperBus 2000 Keypad.

Hello everybody out there:

I'am new to this forum, if anyone could help me out with my project I sure would appricate it very much.

I'am installing G.E. interlogix LM Door/Window sensors NX-650 in my house, and I have a G.E./ ITI 60-806 Keypad, and I want to replace the Keypad with a G.E. 60-746-01 Keypad SuperBus 2000 2x16 LCD Alphanumeric Touchpad, so that I would be able to program the window sensors into my system.

Could someone help me out, on how to go about changeing the Keypad without loseing the memory that is already programed into my MAIN PANEL. And would I be able to program these new window sensors into the NEW KEYPAD. Could you also tell me what BUS stands for.

Any help would surely be much appricated.

Thank you.

By the part numbers, I'd guess that you have a Concord type panel, but which model? There are differerences between the various versions.

Hi:

I have a CONCORD EXPRESS and the number that is on the door of the PANEL box is Model 60-806-95R. Then it has another number AH935286. And the FREQ. 319.5 MHZ.

I hope this will help you out?

And THANK YOU for returning my request for HELP.

What I would like to know is, I'am installing G.E. Interlogix NX-650 Window Sensors in my house, and I have a G.E./ITI 60-806 Keypad and I want to replace it with a G.E./ITI 60-746-01 Keypad so that I can program the window sensors into my existing system.

What I would like to know, is can I install the 60-746-01 Keypad without loseing the memory thats in the Panel Box now, and program the Window Sensors into the PANEL, with the new KEYPAD.

I sure would appricate it very much for what ever help that you can give me.

The program memory doesn't reside in the keypad, and doesn't go away when the system is powered down, so your current programming will not be altered by a keypad swap.

Assuming that you have your programming manual and know the installer code, once you have your keypad installed, you can do what you need. You also have the option of temporarily installing the new keypad as a service keypad to do what you need without removing the existing one.

Just power the system down if you are going to do the full swap.

Hi:

Thanks you very much for the information.

I have one question, when I power down to install the new Keypad, should I first disconnect the battery wires in the Panel Box, and then disconnect the transformer from the outlet, or it doesn't matter what I disconnect first?

Could you tell me what BUS stands for, such as in Force the Panel to scan BUS DEVICES.

Thanks again for your help, I sure do appricate it very much.

Would it be O.K. to contact you if I have any other questions??

"Bus" devices are every thing connected to the keypad/data connections for the panel. On a simple system, the keypad(s) will be the only thing connected.
