Battery

Just a question, how come some times when a battery is completley dead some systems wont show it as a trouble? Is it because its looking for amperage or 12 volts? If amperage, what would it be?? Or should be?

They check for voltage, but for most security systems, trouble indication for low and/or missing battery is an option feature that may not be turned on by default.

Because the battery test feature was probably not turned on in the system program. It's not the default setting for many brands/models, and a lot of installers don't think to turn it on.
