Ademco Vista 20p programming issues

I have pretty much setup the entire house with Contact Sensors, Smoke Detectors, and motion detectors. I have 2 main questions.. I put a Motion sensor in the living room to cover 4 windows. Since I am not double zoning, I put the motion on Zone 8 using a 2.0k resistor.. I programmed the panel to a Type 04 interior Follower. Problem happens when I try to set the panel to stay or night stay. Panel is in direct line of sight with motion detector. If there is any motion in room, it signals system not ready. So, I have to remain motionless with a finger on the panel until system is ready to hit the button?

All the rest of the zones are on a 4219 zone expander using 1.0k resistors.

Next main question is report codes option.. If you enter field 56 to setup your zones.. Once you pass the partition, It asks for the report codes.. Like 1st ?? 2nd ?? then it gives you the sum of 1st and 2nd.... Where do I find in the programming what the values are supposed to be and what to program in each of the 2 areas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That's not a bug, it's a feature.

You will have that effect anytime you place a motion overlooking a keypad area. The need to hold still a bit kinda goes with it. It's normal.

For the report code, if you read the little section on your programming guide, you will see that (for the contact ID format) the code is just an enabling code. Just enter 1-0.

The next screen isn't the sum of the two, it's a display of the default input type code for that zone.
