Visonic MAX 4E

I have a old Visonic Max 4e with 4 burglar zones. Zone 4 is (delay zone) connected to magnetic door contacts. The other zones are connected to PIRs and programmed for "instant". Zone 1 LED on the front panel is continously lite. I measured voltage across it and common showing 14 VDC. So every time arm the system, immediately goes to alarm. The PIR seems to be OK (tried a new one still front panel LED stays on). Any ideas? Thanks.

What happens if you simply twist the alarm wires (not the power wires) at the device end of the zone loop together (with the resistor if one is involved, of course).

If you manually close the zone and the zone light goes out, then you have a device problem, if the light doesn't go out, then either the wiring between the detector and the panel is damaged or the panel input is damaged.

If you jumper the zone directly at the pane terminals and it doesn't close, then the panel is done.
