Disable DSC PC2500 communication failure?
Hello. I have a DSC PC2500 that is now monitored using a cellular uplink.
I've gone into the programming mode and disabled the communicator ([13] 1st system option code, [1] light on = disable communications). But every time I set the alarm, I find the keypad beeping, showing 5 (Unsuccessful communication attempt with monitoring station) upon my return home.
Does anyone know how to keep the keypad from indicating this error every single time? It's bugging the crap out of me.
Thanks!

With some of the older DSC hardware, I've found that even after you turn off the communicator in programming, you have to completely power down and restart the panel for it to stop trying to dial out.
