Delete Code on Ademco Vista 20 se
I have followed the manual's instructions for deleting my master code and changing it to a new one. The new one works, but the problem is that the old one still works too. I have contacted my alarm company technician and he has walked me through steps, but the darn old code still works. How can I get rid of this old code completely? It is important to my current security.

It sounds like you added the new code in a different code slot, but didn't actually change the master code.
On a Vista 20se, the correct keystokes for changing a master code is: Current Master code + [8] + [02] + new Master code + new Master code again. On some models, the master code is going to be [01] instead of [02].
If your helper had you add the new code into 03 or higher, you just added it as a secondary code.
As always, enter the sequence in a smooth flow; too much hesitation between keystrokes will kick you out of code programming

Thank you so much for responding. That is exactly what I have done....so many times. The new code took, but the old code still works. I don't know what else to try. Thanks in advance if you can be of further help.

Try using the master code to clear all of the secondary codes (03--16). I suspect that somewhere in the process, you managed to copy the old master code into one of the other code slots.
If you do not have the installer manual for this system, websearch using the phrase "Vista 20se Installer manual".

I don't have the Master code or the Security Code
Hi, I have the Ademco Vista20se, but I disconnected it a couple of years ago and I forgot the Security Code or Master Code. Now, if I try to connect the alarm goes off, but I don't have the codes to reset it.
How I can figure out the Master Code or Secuirity Code?
