Vista 20P hardwire motion sensor issue and Zone Type issue

Hi,

I'm new at this and I need some help here.

System overview
Vista 20P
6150rf
6160
5816x2
997
998PI
audora
EOL on Zone1,4,5,6,7,8. Also the same zone were disabled 00 in the *56 menu

Question 1: The 2 hardwire motion sensor (Zone 2 Audora and 3 998PI) did not work. It passes tests and ready to arm. However once I armed, I could not do anything to fail zone 2 and 3. The rest of the RF Zone9,10,11 work fine.

Question 2: I did not find any Zone Type that could match what I want. I want interior with out delay for my motion sensor. There is at least 2 motion that I want it response imediately with out delay.

Where did you install the resistor on these devices? Did you put them in _series_ with the normally closed contact? If you put them in _parallel_ to the contact, you will never get an alarm activation.

The correct zone type is interior follower (04). These will be instant unless an entry/exit door has been activated first, and will auto-bypass if you do not open and close an entry exit door after arming.

Hi MrRon

I did not use registor on the NC sensor. I thought I only have to use registor on the unuse slot. I'll put a registor in series with the NC sensor.

Zone Type 4 explaination is excellent. Now I got it.

Thank you very much
